Sergio Paul, who composes under the name Vaughan Sankofa, is a film, video game, and media composer, as well as an audio engineer and sound designer. As a composer, he's collaborated on extensive projects, ranging from documentaries to live theater productions, to live performed orchestral scores and even 48 hour short film productions. As an audio engineer, he has both professional experience working a recording studio as a recording and mixing engineer, as well as experience working in Hollywood as a sound post production intern. As an independent artist, he also records, mixes, masters, and releases his own music in a range of genres. In creating music, he seeks to bridge the gap between traditional instrumental music and the soundtrack genre to change the way that listeners view soundtrack as a genre of music.

Sergio is also classical and jazz trained violinist who has been playing music for over 12 years. What began as a love for video game soundtracks and the orchestral soundscape has led him to study violin performance in a multitude of genres. He now frequently plays live events, parties, and weddings as a musician for hire.
